We have recently had the experience of buying a home in the NE metro area. Upon a recommendation from a co-worker, we chose the Joyer Agency as our real estate agent. Other than the house that we ended up with, it was the best decision that we have possible could have made. A few things about us - we are not necessarily a 'typical' family - if there is such a thing. We have 7 kids - all under 13, four boys and three girls. We had some very specific things in mind relative to a house - and were focused in the Centerville, Hugo, Lino Lakes area, needed space, wanted something with access to trails, big kitchen, 3 car garage, open floor plan, backed up to a nature preserve . . . seriously - these were the top 10s on our families list.
Christy was our agent and we could not have been more pleased. Christy understood our requests and worked hard to help us find places that met our criteria. She was very prompt, was responsive to our requests, recognized when we needed a little time and space to think. . . . and she understood our family dynamic very well. We truly felt like she was representing our best interests and was very straightforward on the market, conditions, value and extremely knowledgeable about the area - which was helpful to us. She recognized that this was our decision and one that likely we would have to live with for a long time.
Together we labored through a difficult negotiation, which did not end up in a sale, but she worked extremely hard on our part to get the best deal - and when we chose to walk away, she supported us and completely understood the rationale. As we entered into complex negotiations on the house that we ended up buying - the Joyer team went above and beyond the call of duty. It was on, off, on. . . quite a bit of drama in the last 2 weeks to close - but the deal closed, on time. In fact we worked the entire afternoon before Memorial Day (5+ hrs) to finish up. Jeff and Christy represent an outstanding team; they were always honest, asked great questions and were a pleasure to work with; they were there for us, bringing years of experience, a calm presence and reassurance to a sometimes confusing and often ever changing process.
And remember all those things we wanted - the house that we got - has every one of them! That is due in large part to the skills and expertise of Christy and Jeff. We got a great house and a great value.
