A client, twice my size, walked up to me and gave me an endearing Bear Hug.
“Thanks for selling my house when you did. I just saw what my neighbors sold for; a lot less.”
We reminisced about the night of the offer presentation. While not full price, it was a reasonable offer, just not in the mind of the Seller. After more than an hour of discussion, the Seller who was a fiscally astute business person said, “We can counter out the Buyer closing costs.” I said, “Yes, but I wouldn’t recommend it.” After more time passed, I asked, “What’s for breakfast? Because I’m staying until you sign this offer as written without change.”
That Bear Hug, months after our transaction, meant a lot to me.
