Remember when you said, “CALL me when you are serious about selling? Well, now I’m serious.” It had been over six years since I made that flippant remark to an old acquaintance. Little did I know, he would try 5 different real estate companies and the who’s who of agents before he called the Joyer Home Team of Keller Williams Premier Realty. After a long and in-depth analysis of the overall market, his home, and his location, I outlined the likely price range of a sale. He said he had a contingent sale last year for more than that; only their house didn’t sell. I surmised that a contingent buyer was still his best prospect. Proposing a list price that would motivate that buyer to reduce their list price accordingly to secure the prize – a 4800 sq. ft. home on over 2 acres. It was still a 6-month ride until the home run to left field; just as I called it.
