It’s every buyer’s nightmare, even if it has only happened once in a thousand sales. The buyers drive up to their newly purchased Shoreview home to find a semi-trailer backed up to the front door. It’s nearly empty and no one is around. The seller who was having a farewell meal at the neighbor’s noticed the moving vans and 12 volunteer helpers arrive. He un-bashfully explained he needed an extra day or two to move. Because of prior difficulties with this transaction, I was on the scene and negotiated storage space in the house and housing compensation equal to a 3-day stay at the Hilton. There had been red flags. This seller paid no regard to his written agreement. Earlier he had declared he was taking his washer and dryer despite including them in the sale.
