When do you want to meet?

There had been a whirlwind of activity on my listing; while following up on inquires a prospective client hesitantly asked me if I would meet him to see said property. He explained that he had cash and was eager to buy now but indicated no one was returning his calls or willing to meet with him. I cheerfully responded “When do you want to meet?”

Only after meeting with him, showing him multiple properties and completing the home buying process with him did it dawn on me why he was having such difficulty obtaining representation. This interaction was shortly after 9/11 and his name was Abdul.
